How does The Local work?

Deal 5 cards each before the first bounce. When something on your card happens on screen — a goal, a specky, a 50-metre penalty — slide it aside, take a drink, and draw a new one. Final siren hits, most points wins.

Do I need to be watching footy to play?

That's the whole point. You play it while watching a live game. Every card is tied to something that actually happens on the field, so the game runs itself.

How long does a game take?

As long as the match. One quarter, a full game, a whole day of footy — it works however long you want to go.

How many people can play?

2 to 6 players. Works just as well one-on-one as it does with a full crew.

Is it just a drinking game?

It's a card game with drinking built in. You can play it with beers, soft drinks, coffees — whatever you want. The game mechanics work either way, but it's definitely built for a pub session.
